How to Clean a Thermos

        

Cleaning a coffee stained thermos can be challenging but it can be done!
I have a habit of letting the thermos go to long before cleaning it, not a good
idea! As you can see the dark color of the coffee stains and oils in the coffee 
leave a bad build up in your thermos. They way I like to clean it is using a box 
of ice cream salt. This salt is a hard substance and does not melt very much 
when I add extra hot water to it. I pour about a forth of the box of salt into the
thermos and add just enough hot water to cover the salt. This is the easy part,
after I have added the hot water I put the lid on it and begin to shake it furiously.  
This process takes a bit of time depending on the amount of stain. After some 
time of shaking the thermos it comes out sparkling clean! If I had one piece of 
advise about a coffee stained thermos Don't let it build up this bad!
